A few days ago, I happened to notice a new application named Stop-the-Pop. It has been spreading like wildfire across the Internet. Apparently, it is an application which, when installed on your computer, will "stop" Windows from automatically opening programs. I find this software annoying because it is very difficult to remove. You can download this free software from the Internet and it's basically a click away.
The way that Stop-the-Pop works is to fill out a form with your personal information and then the application takes over, pop ups and all. It's kind of funny to see how this application got so popular. Apparently someone had programmed it to act in this way. The way that it works is that you can press the "ause" button to stop the pop up application from running. If you press the button before it's too late, you'll end up getting the "uninstall" screen and Windows will be gone forever.
In my opinion, this software is total crap. I've had the same problems with it for a couple months now and I haven't been able to get rid of it. All I did was pay for the license which was worth about $40, so in essence I got nothing for my money.
